Bikers To Honour Afghan Heroes On Mothers Day

Thousands of bikers from throughout the country are planning a spectacular mass ride through Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire on Mother’s Day to honour the people of Wootton Bassett and the soldiers who have lost their lives in Afghanistan.

We are delighted that John McDonald, Sky Sports’ Master of Ceremonies, will start our ride at Hullavington.

Isn’t it amazing that they can’t allow families into Lyneham for repatriations, yet as soon as a bunch of motorcyclists say they want to “show respect” they throw the gates open!
These people arent “bikers”,theyre people who ride motorcycles!

What a shame you have to be so cynical, this event is to raise money for a worthwhile cause and to show the members of our forces that they continue to be in our thoughts and to demonstrate support to the people of Wooton Bassett. Shame on you.
I shall be there, with a large number of rider friends.
You say ‘these people aren’t bikers’- you do not know me or my friends so your assumptions are totally without foundation.

Dear Peter, Repatriations are a lot more delicate an event than a charity bike ride. Please don’t begrudge some bikers for wanting to raise funds and show great respect for our fallen heroes. also, as for your comment about these people not being bikers, I think you will find bikers listed in the dictionary as: 1. a person who rides a bicycle, motorcycle, or motorbike, and 2. a member of a motorcycle gang. so please don’t assume that the word only applies to the latter. Respectfully yours.

      Dear Peter

what would be most impressive if u were to pull ur finger out do a bike test and come join us. Yes sounds a bit of a feat but failing that don’t give up you could do a cbt with little time to prep and come on a scooter beeping ur hooter or even ting a bell like a little……. Sorry on a bicycle even getting some fitness in ppl do that. Anyway the point is the boys accomplish remarkable acts involving courage, skill and strengh which many know not of nor do they recieve any thanks. So on Mothers Day we thank both them and the women who mothered them only to lose them too soon, so again do come

I think its a wonderful idea. I lost my son on 25 October 2009( Cpl Tam Mason, Black Watch) He died in Selly Oak hospital as a result of standing on an I.E.D whilst serving in Afghanistan. He had horrific injuries, both legs gone, on life support and internal injuries. This was one battle he couldn’t win- the battle for life. Every day is a nightmare for me and its no doubt the same for all the other families who have lost their loved one. My son was number 223 to die. When you see the number now it speaks for itself. I’ve always been a biker fan. God bess you all.

Reading your post peter, I get the impression that you’re a little miffed, maybe its something to do with the red tape at Lyneham at a repatriation service……if it is…? I ‘am sure everybody reading it can read between the lines and sympathise with you. But I think on the whole take this planned event as it is… a show of support for service people and their families for doing a job that lots of people “me included” would’nt want to do,
I just hope the people of W/basset dont get annoyed with all the bikes trundling through there town.

    • Mal McPhail
      Posted February 1, 2010 at 2:49 pm | Permalink | Reply

There are several reasons why the gates at Lyneham aren’t thrown open during repatriations.
      1. The repatriation procedure is a very personal and solemn event for those that have lost loved ones.
2.RAF Lyneham manages this in a very delicate and professional manner, ensuring that the families are allowed as much private time as possible to say their good-byes.
3 Members of the public can show their respects at Wooton Bassett.
      4. Lyneham is a full operational RAF Station.
      5. For your interest, due to circumstances outside the control of the organisers, it is possible that the ride will not finish at RAF Lyneham.

Whether we are BIKERS or people that ride bikes or whatever else certain people want to call us, we are all united in this and many other causes.

We are all affected in some form or another by the losses inflicted upon our brave folk in the core of operations and I for one will be immensely proud to ride in with my colleagues for this worthy cause.

I too will be there to pay tribute to the fallen and to show wholehearted support on Mothers’ day.

However, and not wanting to be a killjoy here, I am wondering if the proposed service station, Leigh Delamere, has the capacity to cope? If we estimate that there is a capacity for 1000 cars (it could well not be that many) and say each car parking space can accomodate 2.5 motorbikes then according to the latest numbers registered (2300 as at 1800 on 24th January) it is already virtually full!.

Then there is the challenge of issuing all those individual wrist bands to give access to RAF Lyneham.

I’m sure that the organisers are on the case but let’s not underestimate the enormous task facing therm in a relateively short timescale.

    I wish them well.

    I have registered for this event, the only questions I have;
Are the timings/programme being published on the Afghan Heroes website as not everyone is on facebook?
Also, has anyone contacted RAFLyneham with an update on the number of bikes/riders registered, I was talking to their MoD community policeman on Friday night and he certainly wasn’t aware of the numbers involved.
Look forward to seeing everybody, let’s hope the weather is kind to us all on the day.

If you have any concerns re parking you may want to look at the photos from RTTW 2009 on http://www.rttw.org as there were 3000 bikes parked up together which took 2 hours to move off site. I hope the services are big enough.

I feel very honoured to be joining this ride to show our respects and gratitude to our armed services and to honour the public of Wooten Basset who have endlessly shown thier respects to each fallen hero repatriated.
I am concerned that given the numbers of bikers attending, that 1 1/2 hours to log in to recieve the pass wrist band is going to be very tight. Would you think it wise to maybe start arrivals at the motorway services earlier ?

    Well done to the organisers.
    Just two questions;
    1. Will the numbers be limited ?
    2. I will be with a group travelling along the M4 from the east, can we access Leigh Delamare Services (Eastbound) from the westbound side, or do we need to continue to junction 18 and then u-turn to get to the eastbound side ? ( It won’t be a problem either way, but if we know in advance it will help us to meet up with mates from the west )
    thanks,
    Barry.

    • Posted January 30, 2010 at 10:27 pm | Permalink | Reply

I will also be coming west down the M4. I found a coment in a review (most unfavourable) of the Travel Lodge that said “The best thing for us was that there is an entrance/exit for lodge guests only onto the local lanes, so we didn’t keep having to go on and off the motorway”. On Google maps the recommended route is all the way to M4 J18, do a U-turn. About a 17 mile detour. Looks as though a left turn off the motorway at J17 on to the A350, 2 miles do a right turn, through Kington St Michael, over the motorway on Honey Knob Hill and turn left into the back of the services may be possible.

I’ll be there from North Wales along with as many mates as I can muster up.

Last September 10,000 bikes attended the MCN Reclaim North Wales ride. Given the cause, I predict that this ride will be even bigger.

It will be a privilege to join so many fellow bikers that day to honour our armed forces and their families, who sacrifice so much to protect us.

    God Save the Queen.

Probably heading down Saturday too, down through Wales (A483 to Builth Wells then A470 to Cardiff), stay over night somewhere and then cruise down the M4 on Sunday morning. Route back is yet to be decided.
You’re all welcome to join us.

There will be many bystanders who see us riding from all over the country that won’t have a clue what it’s all about, would it be possible to organise a penant/flag which we can fix to our machines to advertise our support for our Heroes? It might be a way to raise a few more pounds too!

We must show our support for our fantastic service men and women, goodness knows they deserve it, as of course do their families.

And to the good people of Wootton Bassett who are there to show their support, come rain or shine to salute and honour our returning heroes. I’m sure they do this for the vast majority of like minded British people too, who can’t be there with them.

This event is for bikers but there are thousands upon thousands of non bikers out there who have the same loyalties as bikers do, they just don’t have bikes, :-( Please go to the http://www.afghanheroes.org.uk web site and donate whatever you can. Wear the wristbands with pride. Show your support and show our service folk you care. Thanks, every little helps.

A big thankyou to all the hard work done by the organisers, don’t know how you do it, brilliant.

Anyone booked in at the Leigh Delamere Travelodge/Moto Services on Saturday?

Wherever you are riding from, near or far, take care. NO SPEEDING. Yeah Yeah

I was at the M4MX motocross track yesterday and walked across the bridge to do a recce. You can get into the Truck and Travelodge parking area the from Kington St. Michael/Stanton/Grittleton directions but there are signs stating access for Lodge guests only and no access to the M4 motorway. There is also a CCTV camera facing the entrance/exit as you go in. So be careful.
On your Home Page you mention that each biker will ‘pay’ £5 and receive a wristband. If we are paying the ride becomes an organised event and may need insurance cover, as opposed to ‘donating’ £5 and receiving a wristband in recognition of the donation. When we did a Poker Run in aid of Help For Heroes we had to be very careful with the wording of our posters.

A fantastic event, that even I, a 78 year old coming from Essex, wouldn’t want to miss. But has anyone considered the volume of bikes that will be involved? They will swamp Leigh Delamere Services and will probably be queing out onto the road! Might it be an idea to create an alternative meeting point for those coming from the east that also will save us about 24 miles on our already long enough journey?

Peter, your attitude is disgusting! After 27yrs in the RAF and following many years on Ops, I am amazed at your desire to impose on family when their loved one is returned in a casket. This is an emotional and personal moment that is not for sharing! Why not follow the lead of the fantastic and courteous people of Wooton Bassett and the many who travel from far, who content to line the street in respectful silence to honour our fallen. Now a “Civy” of 3yrs, I am proud to join in this momenteous occassion to celebrate the lives of so many young men and women who have, and still are, laying down their lives for a better world.

To the mothers of the fallen heroes, what strength you have! You are a credit to those who have fallen and have the total respect and admiration from over 9000 people, if not the whole nation.
As a former Serviceman, it is good to see so many people actually supporting what the boys and girls are doing. I will be there on the day with several colleagues, I look forward to meeting you all to thank you personally.
To anyone else reading this, tell EVERYONE who rides (don’t care what!) make sure they register, lets get this to the 10 grand mark and really shove the message home!

Loads of us are meeting ‘en-route’ along the M4. Magor Services around 08:30 – 09:00 then on to Aust Services, from there over the bridge to Leigh Delamere.
Join us, you will be welcome, tell anyone you know on two wheels, and lets make this a great day.

      Guys
I have registered and got confirmation of Lyneham Registration. A few of us thought it would be a good idea to ride to Delamere together. So i propose that anyone who wants to join us meet us at the little chef at the top of the dual carraigeway in Chippenham. Meet at 9.30 and leave there at 10.
Down the A350 to M4. To Bath Junction and back up to Leigh Delamere for 10.30 ish.
There are currently 7800 bikes registered and over 10000 people going so it might be a problem meeting at Deli.

I hope you can join us. Regards Dennis (kopite)

Might also be an idea to have flag on ya bike so you can spot it, but then everyone else would have one as well !!!

I’m sure it would be another worthwhile fund raising idea to help the Afghan Heroes charity.

I for one would buy a copy. Anyone else out ther want one ??

Hi Folks, signed up for the rally and ordered the t shirt. Just been looking at the “Thank a Soldier” page, how about if everyone that attended the rally brought along a box of these “basic” items to be sent out to the troops? Just to add to the logistical nightmare we are creating! ;-) Ride Safe

As an ex-serviceman i feel that this and other events are important, not just to us, but to the public in general. But most of all to the boys and girls (who are doing a grand job). To let them know that the UK are behind them 100%

Don’t worry Derek, with those numbers of bikes/scooters/quads and trikes no-one will have a problem keeping up, there is a very wide range of all types of these vehicles.
Just ride safe, whatever you travel on.

i am doing this for the soldiers who lost their lives, injured & stillout their, also the soldiers who have returned home safe.
any war involves death, loss of loved ones, fathers, sons, wives daughters & so on.
i believe its time, bring our soldiers home, alive & well & give them all the the honour they deserve as heroes in their own right, it has to be an emotional, heartbreaking job to come home & not be appreciated for all they do, each day not knowing what will confront them.
    I solute you

Fantastic event and I shall certainly be there with Bridgwater Harley Owners Group. BUT. We ran events for ten years using the Aust Service Station on the M4 as a gathering point for a charity bike run across the Severn Bridge. This is similar in size to Leigh Delamare and on the last run, 4000 bikes overwhelmed the parking area even with an experienced team of parking people directing them. Due to a change in Police attitude and a number of other factors, including the difficulty of controlling numbers, this event will no longer happen. At this event there are now 10000 bikes registered, rising by hundreds a day. Have the organisers considered the logistics of just parking that many bikes? let alone checking and issuing wristbands? This will certainly block the M4 coming in. Are the Police going to co-operate?

Don’t get me wrong. I really want this event to happen but I sincerely hope somebody has a pretty good plan!!!

Each year they manage to organise approx 10,000 bikers safely into and out of the sea front at Brighton for the Brighton Burn Up/Rockers Reunion. I bet they could give some tips, and they are nice people. I would be very suprised if they did not help such a good cause.

I am looking forward to seeing some further information on this event as at the moment it looks as if it will be a logistical nightmare. 10,000 bikes will clearly not fit into Leigh Delamere Services. At RTTW2008 they only managed to fit around 3000 into Tamworth Services and as someone else mentioned earlier it took 2 hours to get out. Although registration has closed it is a certainty that people who haven’t registered will just turn up anyway. At RTTW there is a considerable number of people who turn up without paying (w*****s) so it will happen here too. How will 10,000 or more £5s be collected and how will 10,000 wristbands be checked at the gate of RAF Lyneham? I don’t mean to be negative but I hope the organisers have all the bases covered so that this event is a huge success!

As an ex teacher who has had the honour of teaching many young people who have gone on to great carears in our armed forces and part of a family who have also got members of forces i will be going to the ride and registered before the limit was reached. I have also been lucky enough as a motorcycle instructor to help members of our armed forces get everything from cbt to full test pass SO OF COURSE I WANT TO RIDE TO SHOW MY RESPECTS FOR ME HAVING MY FREEDOM OF CHOICE!! THANKS TO YOU ALL!!!!

I am sorry if my last message was too close to something that it could not be printed, but I must say, that the small amount of people in Hungrford I have seen so far are fantastic in the amount they have given towards our superb soldiers and I really look forward to being able to show them our support on the day, for all the hardships they endure for the sake of peace for us and others without complaint.

I’m sad that I wasn’t aware of this until the doors were closed.
As an ex WO1 R.Sigs of 22+ yrs, and a constant biker since 1970, I would have been proud to attend to honour the brave souls who have laid down their lives so others could live in a better world with more freedom. I trust there will be other ways to assist and that these will be well publicised. To provide funds is always good, but to do something displays feeling from the heart.
There is some corner of a foreign filed that is forever england. Members of the UK Armed forces, I salute you

I live in Wiltshire and was disappointed by th local news comment regarding the Bike Ride.
It stated that the ride is going ahead with 10400+ bikes and that there will be ‘Mayhem’.
I think this is totally the wrong word to use as this could be misconstrued as there will be trouble.
My wife and I and no doubt all of you attending have no intention of causing ‘Mayhem’ but to show gratitude and support for our Service Men and Women and to the town of Wootton Bassett.
I have contacted HAART FM by email and informed them of their mis demeanour and that they should be stating that it may cause traffic congestion and nothing more.

Hi have just received email asking for arrival time, I am really sorry but I haven’t got a clue on how long it is likely to take us to get there. If I give an estimated time and then arrive an hour late will that matter.
With so many bikes I find it an impossible question to answer.
    Advice please

    Bev

    • Posted March 4, 2010 at 2:50 pm | Permalink | Reply

I think the point is to stagger the arrival of so many riders in order to avoid congestion. I would estimate your arrival time and then try to get there as close to that time as possible. BTW the arrival times were part of the conditions of the ride going ahead – the Highways and Police would not have allowed us to continue unless we had this system in place.

I would like to offer my hair to be chopped off, either at Hullavington or at a later date & venue,
but thought if I could arrange with the Organisers to be at Hullavington inside the gate & sell rafle tickets at minimum of £1 each, the winner would then be drawn at the end of the day, & we would arrange to meet up at venue they wish, & the MASSIVE “Brave cut for Brave Heroes” could take place. I have a MASS of hair almost to my waist, I have done this before for elderly ward at local hospital, I do know what to expect. I was thinking if everyone just boought ONE raffle ticket at £1 that would be another £14,000 for Afghan Heroes.!! ANY IDEAS please Josie

I don’t think you understand!!! NO-ONE is riding through Wootton Bassett through PITY, I find that comment very insulting. As I see it The ride is A RIDE OF RESPECT to both, all the people who come out to support the heroes & their families who come through the town, & also RESPECT for the heroes who are bought home and who are out there in Afghanistan still watching their friends backs.
They certainly DO NOT want your pity!!

however i have send several e-mails plus used the registration site to try and recieve documentation and passes to give me access to the rally , however i keep getting “error invalid e-mail and bike registration combination”
the e mails i send come back to try the confirmation link http://afghanheroes.org.uk/bikersevent.asp but it still rejects me.. can i contact someone or get a pass in time as i have spend some considerable time in organising others riders to register and having bike flags made up with the AFGHANHEROES logo on them and sending them to the charity to sell on the day. i dont want to turn up only to be denied access and to join the rally and told to go home,,, can you help me please or advise

It will be an honour and privilege to support our men and women in the armed forces who put themselves on the line to defend our safety and bring democracy to the Afghan people. It will be an emotional day for me but the ride from London will be a pleasure whatever the weather throws at us. Interesting article in the Swindon Advertiser http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/5052821.15_000_bikers_heading_our_way_this_weekend/?ref=mr
It seems the residents of Wootton have only just been told about this bike ride, and they’re not terribly keen.

One bit of the article says this:
    =================================================
“It seems to me that this is going to encourage more people to come and use Wootton Bassett for political reasons – something we have always been against.

“There is a massive difference between a repatriation and a rally.

“Thousands of motorbikes throbbing through the town will be noisy, smelly, thrilling, almost martial – miles away from the quiet, spontaneous and reflective commemorations of young lives lost prematurely.”
    =============================================================
Rather inflammatory language, but then I guess that’s what being a journalist is all about.

It’s a bit sad that some of the inhabitants of Wootton Bassett are against the run. I wonder if they realise how much time, effort, and dedication has gone into this event. In reply to the person who says we should have the ride out in the countryside, well away from everyone???? how do you show respect if there is no one to show it to ?
Has no one told Wootton Bassett that it is to show respect to THEM for turning out to honour the return of the fallen soldier ? Just as much as it is to support our forces lads and ladies, as far as I am concerned politics isn’t on the agenda. I am sure the majority will be behind us, but for those who are moaning, take this on board, If you live in Wooton Bassett you only have to walk to the high street to pay your respect, I shall be making the best part of a 400 mile round trip to show mine, and there are probably quite a few travelling further.
So please please no more moans, the day is supposed to lift spirits, not depress them.

    Hi Everyone…

firstly, thanks a million to the organisers for making this happen!!

We are number 11413 and will be heading down at lunch time. Our daughter is currently serving out in Afghanistan with the Royal Welsh – it will be a very emotional day as we reflect on those service men and women who have lost their lives and the families and friends they have left behind… and for the injured soldiers and their families and friends who too quietly return home unnanounced…!!!! But I hope that they will be warmed in some way by the numbers turning out today, the strength of feeling and deep respect demonstrated by the event such as this – We are so proud to be taking part….

There are so many ways to help and show your support before and beyond this event… Three weeks ago on my way up Pen Y Fan in the snow, I met a young ex-squaddie who was camping on the slopes to raise money for Help the Heroes – we gave a small donation! In two weeks time we are also doing the 3 Peaks Challenge in Abergavenny to raise funds for the Richard Hunt Foundation. Richard was a young local soldier and the 200th to die from his wounds received in Afghanistan last year – the turn out in the town for a service was tremendous, which was led by his family and young girlfriend – everyone was openly weeping and sharing the pain – the family thanked everyone for the turn out and support…..

My daughter and her colleagues cannot wait to receive our photos of this event… it will be quite a boost to their moral, which is dipping a bit now they are well over half way through their tour……

Thank you again for the opportunity…

Hi guys, I’m not a biker but I hope you don’t mind me dropping a line just to say that I’m so very proud of you all for what you’re doing in Wootton Bassett….. I hope it all goes really well for you in support of our heroes and maybe you will inspire more of us ordinary folk to be more demonstrative in our support. God bless…. and safe riding x

As a resident of Wootton Basssett and a wife of the military, I am proud to live in my town and extremely happy that every one is coming together to show their respect to the serving men and women . The crowds on the road side said it all today and the majority of Bassett are happy to have the bikers ride thru. I wish you all safe on your travels and in return have my respect for showing you care xx

WELL DONE ride was brilliantly organised well done to the police highways agency and marshalls you could have done no better you did us proud and i do hope that the people of wootton bassett enjoyed every minute.I do hope also that those negative comments made by the few were unfounded as many of the riders were people like me who could only get there on a weekend to show our appreciation to the fallen heroes and theyre relatives also to the people of wootton bassett . THANKYOU AND GOD BLESS

We have just returned home from the ride and cannot believe the support the people of Wootton Bassett have shown once again! The extraordinary thing is that they were thanking us and we turned up to thank them. What a fantastic town and what an experience we had, that will always stay with us. The people of this small town must be recognised for their efforts and compassion. We thank everyone involved, police, ambulance, the organisers who did a fantastic job, the people of Wooton Bassett and the surrounding areas for being there.

The police, ambulance servoce and marshalls did a fantastic job- proud to be British, but as an army wife even prouder of the honour you showed our troops.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.x

What a great day, well done to all those who took part, organised and stood along the route and waved there support, hope it was filmed or photographed to show our lads in Afghanistan and all those who have lost loved ones the support they have back home,
How about asking the government to give the tax they have taken on petrol sales to the Afghan heroes, even on ten thousand gallons wouldnt be to much to ask,

I don’t know if this is the right place for this, but on behalf of both of us, can I congratulate and thank you all for a fantastic event.

It was a priviledge to be part of such a positive event, both paying tribute to our troops serving and fallen, and to the wonderful folk of Wootton Bassett.

It would be nice to think that we could be out of Afghanistan by this time next year, but more realistically speaking, I hope you’ll soon be planning next years event?!

All the best, and congratulations again – I hope the total raised soars!

Thank you very much for a wonderful day. I felt both honoured and humble to have taken part in such a wonderful event. To the organisers you did us and yourselves proud, what must have been a nightmare ran like a dream. Same next year maybe?????

I was one of the 15,000 yesterday. A 320 mile round trip and three refuelling stops, but a truly wonderful experience. A bit of a shame the police broke the ride up into 500 bike batches – I had a wait of over 3 hours at the assembly airfield and by the time I got to the High Street the crowds had dwindled. Fantastic pictures at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8566860.stm Riding through the villages on route from the airfield to Wootton Bassett was a humbling experience – people at their garden gates waving and showing posters of support for the entire route. The organisers must be thanked – what started as a ride out for a group of friends snowballed in to the largest gathering of motorcycles and bikers that the UK has ever seen. The logistics nightmare will not be over yet (bills to pay and all the other crap). All who attended owe the organisers a debt of gratitude.

What an amazing day, my wife and I had a wonderful time and we are pleased to see there is still a comunity spirit amongst all age groups. Well done to all the helpers, Police,Organisers, and all the other services. They all did a wonderful job, and to all the people that turned out to give their support.

Thank you to all the organisers, police, marshals and onlookers. It was a privilege to take part and be able to show respect for those who have fallen in Afganistan and other hot spots around the world and for those still out there fighting. I hope the funds raised will bring a little extra comfort to those it was intended for. Where can we put our names down for the next event please ?

great day out. It was humbling riding through the villages and being applauded for being there. When we rode in to Wooton Bassett, I was dumfounded at the generous response. It made me proud to be British and sad for why we were there.

As an Ex Life Guard and previous member of The Household Cavalry and a current biker myself I applaud the organisers and all those who took part in this event. Bikers generally are looked down upon, but when the crunch comes they put up and put in, maybe those against them will put up and put in as well or shut up. We have a Toy Run here in Tassie to help the Salvo’s every Xmas for the less fortunate kids hundreds of bikers throughout the State converge on Hobart….. but your event well and truly outclassed what we do. I dearly would have loved to have taken part. I reckon the war would be over quick smart if they heard and saw the numbers of bikes that took part coming towards their hideouts alongside our troops. Once again, well done , from Downunder.

    ********** ORGANISERS **********

TO ALL INVOLVED IN GETTING THIS EVENT DONE…..

    A HUGE THANK YOU…FROM ME…AND I AM SURE FROM EVERY OTHER RIDER…..

The reception at the Airfield … FANTASTIC!!!

The Organising Structure at the Airfield … FANTASTIC!!!

    The Run itself … FANTASTIC!!!

I am sure there was a few hiccups along the way but hey, I didn’t see any…
What I DID see was an uncountable number of Riders taking part in what can only be described as …
“An Event That Will Be Remembered Forever” … I really do hope that all the Mums and Dads, Husbands and Wives of those lost and fallen take some small comfort in knowing that the Biking Communities will show our support in any way we can, a lot was achieved by this event – and I dont just mean raising cash – all of you who have lost someone, who have someone home-but injured, who have someone still over there, and yes, to those who have someone still to go overseas…

    I Thank You…..

    ORGANISERS!!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!!

CAN WE DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR TOO?

    What a fantastic day.
I don’t get emotional about much unless it affects my son or my mother but this day really hit the mark like a hammer blow, so glad i was involved
Well done to absolutely everybody involved (be proud of what you achieved).
Does anyboy know how i can get hold of a couple of event stickers for my bike & car as i didn’t spot any on sunday cos i want people to know I WAS THERE.
It goes without saying if this was to happen again i would love to attend, but that would mean that our forces are getting hurt & repats are still happening, so for the safety of all our armed forces lets hope that we will never need to have another event like this again.
Lets hope there are no more coffins to come back.
    Ride safe, Ride free.
