Afghan Heroes are looking for a number of riders willing to take part in an amazing Fundraising event in the USA on Harley Davidson motorcycles on a guided tour.
Would you like the opportunity to support our troops in Afghanistan and the families of the fallen whilst having the holiday of a life time?
Rideroute66.co.uk is working with the charity Afghan Heroes to raise funds to support their work here in the UK and Afghanistan. We are looking for bike riders (with pillions if wished) to do a sponsored 1500 mile tour along the iconic Route 66 – America’s “Mother Road” – on Harley Davidson motorcycles. Taking in some amazing sights along the way such as the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and Amarillo to name but a few, whilst staying in some of the famous hotels and eating at legendary diners.
These are going to be annual events sponsored by Afghan Heroes, the first dates are 29th May to 5th June 2010 and a second Tour is set for late August.
For more information and to register your interest, please email us at: enquiries@rideroute66.co.uk

To all concerned. What a day. To be compared with “Where were you in 1966 when we won the world cup?” or “Where were you when Kennedy got shot?” or “Where were you when the Americans landed on the moon?” King Henry V said it at the battle of Agincourt “The men that stayed at home will have wished they had been with us on this, St Crispins day” or something like that.
Well I was there and I lived history so I will tell my grandchildren that I was there and will puff out my chest and maybe shed a tear for those that won’t ever be there. God bless you all.

This tour of Route 66 in the US, and old Americana sounds brilliant! I made an inquiry and it is all inclusive, and very reasonable cost. Count me in, as I only have to take 4 days off, thanks to the bank holiday. Thank you Afghan Heroes.
how much is this trip ???
I am not sure suggest you email them.
Does it have to be a harley? =(
The route 66 trip looks to be great fun for a worthy cause. Can’t make the first trip but hope further dates are announced. How many bikes allowed on each tour?
Could you please send me details of the “Route 66″trip.Costs etc.,or where to find required info on the web Thank you. I would also like to know where to send a donation to the afghan heroes.
