On Wednesday 24th March Afghan Heroes, represented by Denise Harris and Deborah Simpson, presented the patients of Headley Court with a specially adapted nine-ball pool table paid for by the charity. This donation is reflective of the “CAN DO” culture within the charity and that our goals are to ensure that are efforts are focussed on our troops, their families, the families of the fallen and our returning troops.
Sky Sports Master of Ceremonies John McDonald created a fantastic atmosphere for our wounded soldiers who were delighted to pitch their talents with those of the current Pool World Champion Raj Hundal and favourite Tony Drago. Followers of Pool, will be keen to learn that Raj Hundal was honoured to accept a cue patronage and has offered to attend charity fundraising events for our armed forces.
