Exercise Rolling Road

Exercise Rolling RoadExercise Rolling Road is a John O’Groats to Lands End cycle ride, which will be conducted by members of the Military Provost Guard Service (MPGS), over the period from 19th September – 3rd October 2010.

The main aim of the exercise is for all six members from different MPGS locations to cycle from John O’Groats to Lands End.

Our objectives are: -

  1. To raise money for Afghan Heroes
  2. To promote cycling at all levels and experience

Exercise Rolling Road will take place over fourteen (14) Exercise Rolling Road - routeconsecutive days covering a total of 1045 miles.  Each day will start at 06.00 hrs, this is to get the cyclist on the road, in order to gain a safe passage out of any built up areas and to beat the rush hour traffic.  A core of 6 cyclists and 2 admin staff will take part in the exercise, which will run from 19th September – 3rd October inclusive, participants may choose to attend the whole challenge or selected days.

The challenge will terminate at Lands End with a flotilla of bikes seeing us through to the finish, with the intention of holding an end of challenge B-B-Q and party.
